Andy has single-handedly organised four very successful BMFA Scale Indoor Free Flight National Championships. Having initially agreed to a three-year term, he voluntarily remained for a fourth to ensure continuity and to manage the re-location of the Nationals from its historic venue in Nottingham. In addition to this, Andy has encouraged new classes to evolve and flourish. His Indoor Scale Glider class continues to gain popularity and, following a successful trial event at Walsall in 2013, radio-controlled Scale Indoor flying has now gained National Championship status. During his time on the BMFA Technical Committee Andy has also been the Scale Public Relations Officer, producing information for spectators at every Scale class at the outdoor Nationals.
