Robin Batchelor

Robin is currently the Vice President of the British Balloon & Airship Club of which he has been a member since 1971, and the President of the British Balloon Museum and Library. Robin got into ballooning 45 years ago. He worked for three years in London making balloons while finding time to train and acquire his hot air and gas balloon licences. He then became a freelance balloon pilot, flying for TV commercials and films all over Europe. He featured in two television series with Stephen Tompkinson in Africa, and in Australia. His log book has 3,800 hours in it and he has flown in 33 different countries. His incredible enthusiasm and endless energy makes him one of the most popular figures in the sport of ballooning today, whether he is flying US Presidents over Kenyan wild life, commentating on balloon races, or encouraging people to fly
