Liz learned to fly balloons in the late 80’s and edited the Oswestry Balloon club newsletter. She became editor of the Aerostat, the British Balloon and Airship Club’s bi-monthly magazine in 1999 and edited and wrote the magazine full time for 13 years starting out from scratch with no material, templates or handover and gradually transformed it from semi black and white to a heavier glossy full colour magazine with increased pages and professional news-stand writing standard whilst reducing the costs. Aerostat has become Europe’s standard for balloon magazines, and she also gave assistance and content to USA balloon titles. In recent years European titles have come to emulate Liz’s Aerostat style and content. Mutual Insurance (underwriters).
