Malcolm has been Club Secretary of the Christchurch & District Model Flying Club (C&DMFC) for many years. He spent many hours, days and weeks in preparing, and eventually successfully submitting, the club’s Planning Application to fly electric powered fixed wing model aircraft in the New Forest.
Over a period of months, Malcolm made frequent calls to BMFA Head Office, had many meetings with various planners and made trips to Southampton to purchase the required copies of OS maps. He also produced a letter that was distributed to local households outlining our proposed activities and also requesting their support.
The application was successful and after receiving full seven days per week flying permission without major restrictions, Malcolm has ever since taken on the rôle of ensuring that members always complied with the rules, and no complaints have ever been received.
