Gordon founded East of Scotland Microlights more than 25 years ago, now the longest established school and, by a considerable margin, the largest microlight club in Scotland. The club is thriving and has done so thanks to Gordon’s drive, enthusiasm and dedication. Throughout, Gordon, as Chief Flying Instructor, has taught pupils from dawn to dusk, frequently giving up his time to help trainee pilots. He has never lost his enthusiasm for the sport. He obtained two World Speed Records in 2013 in the two-seat microlight class. Jill is far more than 'just' the club secretary; she provides us with excellent clubhouse facilities, has extensive knowledge of both the admin and practical sides of microlight flying, having been a pilot herself. She has also supported charity events, not only to do with aviation, but others which are close to members' hearts.
